Dr. Evans was one of only four remaining charter members of the Kiwanis Club of Colonial Plymouth.

Dr. Evans was known for his generosity. He tirelessly gave of himself for his family, his friends, the community and strangers. His involvement with Kids Against Hunger helped to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the U.S. and starving children throughout the world. His private pilot license allowed him to become a LifeLine Pilot. These volunteer pilots come from all walks of life and Dr. Evans was one of them. He provided those with medical and financial need with access to free air transportation on small aircraft and personally piloted the plane to get them to their destination for their medical needs. Dr. Evans was a very active member of his church, First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth. He was a Deacon and also headed up the Capital Fund Drive resulting in the installation of an elevator at the church.

Dr. Robert Evans is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and the many lives he touched in the Plymouth community throughout his lifetime.

Dr. Evans is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Sally of 60 years. They were married on June 23, 1956. He is the father of five children, Bob (Lori) Evans, Michael (Catherine) Evans, Susan Evans, Cameron (Sue) Evans, and the late Sara Ann Evans. He also leaves his son-in-law John (Rita) Danish.
