Ronald James Love, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, peacefully passed away on September 30, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness.

Born on May 19, 1946, in the charming town of Northville, Ron lived a life full of love, dedication, and service that touched the hearts of many. As a young man, Ron answered the call of duty and served his country with honor. From December 1965 to December 1967, he was a proud radio operator in the United States Army, where he developed a strong sense of discipline and camaraderie that stayed with him throughout his life.

Following his military service, Ron embarked on a fulfilling career as a senior test technician at Ford Motor Company. Over the course of 25 years, he contributed his skills and expertise to the company until his retirement in 2002. His colleagues remember him as a dedicated and reliable team member whose kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Ron was also a passionate enthusiast of tractors and cars, particularly John Deere. For over 40 years, he was an active member of the John Deere community, often spending weekends attending tractor and car shows. His love for John Deere was more than a hobby; it was a way of life that brought him immense joy and connection with others who shared his passion.

Family was at the heart of Ron's life. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Leslie Ann Rich and Michael James (Robyn) Love. He leaves behind a legacy of seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, who will cherish the memories of their time spent with him. He is predeceased by his dear sister, Kathy Snyder, and brother, Larry Love, whom he missed dearly and spoke of often with fondness.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Glen Abbey for their compassionate care and comfort provided to Ron in his final days, ensuring that he was surrounded by love and dignity.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate and remember the remarkable life Ron led at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the Funeral Service beginning at 5:00 P.M.
