David A. W. Murrell, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 86. He was born on March 22, 1940, in Detroit Michigan.
David will be remembered as a man who took pride in his work and in the life he built around the things he loved most. He enjoyed his job as a well-respected plumber, earning the regard of others through his dedication and skill. From an early age, he showed a remarkable mechanical talent, rebuilding his first engine at just 14 years old. That gift stayed with him throughout his life and was reflected in his love of antique cars, including his pride and joy, a 1933 Chrysler Roadster.
He also embraced life's pleasures with enthusiasm. David loved square dancing, camping, and traveling. He especially enjoyed the many cruises he took over the years. He had a house in Wolcott, Vermont, where many happy memories were made and where time spent brought lasting joy to those who shared it with him.
Above all, David's life was enriched by family. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his daughter, Lisa Collins; his son David (Marcy) Murrell; his son Michael (Jim) Craig; and his daughter Janine (Gino) Grabinski. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Cassidy Collins, Brendan Murrell, Allisyn Collins, Alec Murrell, and Andrew Murrell. Each of them was part of the family circle that meant so much to him, and his memory will remain with them in the stories they share and the moments they continue to treasure.
David was preceded in death by his loving wife, Susan.
