William "Wild Bill" Pierce died peacefully at his home on April 4th, 2026 at the age of 72.
Born June 25th, 1953 to William and Catherine Pierce (née Barstow), Bill was the middle of three brothers. He served in both the Navy and the Marines and then continued his service for 34 years as a mechanic at the Bay Pines VA Hospital in Florida.
Bill will be remembered for his unfiltered stories, many of which cannot be repeated; his tender heart underneath a gruff exterior, and his second set of eyeballs.
He is survived by his brother Mark (Sue); daughter Jennifer Schemers (Matt); grandchildren Jenna (Jake), Brandon, and Ryan; nephews David (Courtney), Martin, and Theo Pierce.
He was preceded in death by his father William, older brother Mike, and mother Catherine.
A Memorial Gathering will be held April 8th, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan followed by a luncheon at Plymouth Rock Lodge (495 Amelia Street, Plymouth).
