Robert George Moore, 77, of Superior Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025. He was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on December 23, 1947, to Frank William Moore and Elizabeth Irene Moore (née Miller).
After graduating high school, Robert proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving six years, including three tours in Vietnam, attaining the rank of Sergeant. After leaving the military, he worked as a semi-truck driver, staying close to home to be with his loving family. He loved golfing, history, music and being around friends and family. He was married to his cherished wife, Diane, with whom he shared 44 years of a loving and devoted marriage.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Elizabeth, stepmother Frances and brother Frank. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, daughters Lisa Roberts and Elizabeth Moore, grandson Kalen Swearingen, brother Keith and sister-in-law Linda.
Robert was known for his gregarious nature and dry humor. He could make friends wherever he went. He was hardworking and never stayed idle. Above all else, he loved his family deeply. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. Robert will remain forever in our hearts.
Robert's cremated remains will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery with full Military Honors, including a flag presentation, playing of Taps, and a rifle volley honoring his service in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965-1971.
