Robert Louis Cormendy, age 84 of Westland passed away on December 4, 2020.
Robert was born on October 13, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan to his parents William and Mable (née DeVera) Cormendy. He is the beloved and devoted husband of 62 years to Phyllis (née Welfare); loving father of Michael (Suzanne) Cormendy, Brian Cormendy, Susan Bailey and Matthew (Melissa) Cormendy; proud grandfather of Christopher (Erin) Logan, Julie Cormendy, Phillip Cormendy, Valarie Logan, Andrea (Derek) Miller, Nicholas (Eleanor) Cormendy, Kathlyn Cormendy, Jacob Cormendy, Matthew Wilkins, Maria Cormendy, Chloe Cormendy, Caleb Cormendy and Caleb Kotz; great-grandfather of Christopher McConnell, Ian Goniea, Sophia Miller, Caleb Miller, Abigail Logan, Landon Cormendy, Brendan Cormendy and Zane Amjad. Robert is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his brothers, Donald Mandich and Edward Mandich.
Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home.
For those who cannot attend and wish to view the Funeral Service in a safe environment, the funeral will be live-streamed.
As of November 18, 2020, we are permitted to have no more than 25 people in attendance for visitations and funerals. Please be advised that in observance of the Governmental Order from the State of Michigan and the current COVID-19 situation, when in attendance at the visitation and funeral service, we kindly ask for the safety and well-being of the families we serve, and for your health, that everyone practice social distancing and consideration for other guests in attendance. Masks are mandatory. Please refrain from handshaking and embracing family members and one another.
