Ramona Rose Shaney

Ramona Rose Shaney, born October 10, 1928 passed away September 10, 2022.  She was the beloved mother of six children, Kerry, Kevin (Monica), Tim, Mark (Rhonda), Jeff, and Brian (Kristy).  Preceding her in death is her late husband, Robert Shaney, whom she met while attending Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Ramona was a wonderful woman.  She was involved in Westland Civitans and Friends of the Westland Library.  She loved animals and books and also kept journals.  Her passion was reading.  She even wrote a book for the family about her Mother, Hilda Hampp.  It was about Hilda’s life growing up.  She collected porcelain dolls and liked to watch the soap operas. 

Ramona will be buried next to her beloved husband Robert at  Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton on Friday, September 16, 2022 with a  committial service at 3:30pm.
