October 23, 1947 — February 3, 2026

Michael F. Siggia, a resident of Northville, Michigan, and a retired police officer for the City of Livonia, departed this earth peacefully on February 3, 2026, at the age of 78. Born in Detroit, Michigan on October 23, 1947, Michael was a devoted family man whose warm personality earned him friendships wherever he went.

Throughout his fulfilling career in law enforcement, Michael exhibited a steadfast commitment to his community and served with pride. His legacy as a police officer was marked by dedication, respect, and service to others, embodying the values that he held dear.

In addition to his professional life, Michael was a passionate individual with varied interests. He found joy in playing golf, immersing himself in the vibrant sounds of Motown and Blues at concerts, and creating magical memories on family vacations to Disneyworld. Above all, Michael cherished the precious moments spent with his grandchildren, nurturing their dreams and interests. You could almost always find him in the stands at his grandchildren’s sporting events, cheering them on and soaking in every moment.

A skilled builder with a true eye for craftsmanship, he built many beautiful homes throughout the city of Livonia, leaving a lasting mark on the community he loved. In his free time, he enjoyed nothing more than his oldie cars and attending classic car events, where he loved sharing stories, admiring the details, and connecting with others who shared his passion.

Michael is survived by Linda Siggia, his former spouse and the mother of his children, as well as his daughters, Gina and Angela Siggia. He embraced his role as a grandfather with great pride and love, and he will be sorely missed by Drew Cardasis, Cole Cardasis, Liliana Vettrainio and Luca Vettraino who were the light of his life.

Michael is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joseph and Roslyn Siggia, whose guiding influence shaped his character and values and by his sister Mary Jo Gandolfi.

His passing leaves a profound void, yet his spirit and joyous memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Michael F. Siggia will be remembered not only for his roles as a police officer and devoted family man but also for the kindness and warmth he extended to everyone he encountered. A private family service will be held at a later date.
