Mary Lee Parker, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed at the age of 84 on July 19, 2024 in Plymouth, Michigan. She was born on September 5, 1939, in St.Louis, Missouri to her late parents John and Mary (Griffith) Menefee. Mary Lee will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering strength, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
A supporter of higher education, Mary Lee earned a Bachelor of Arts degree exemplifying her pursuit of life-long learning. Throughout her life journey, Mary Lee was a teacher, real estate sales person and loving wife to her late husband M. Ollie Parker. Their 60-year marriage was an inspiration to all who knew them. Mary Lee, known as "Meme" to many, is survived by her four children Laura (Marty) Grabijas, Brad (Linda) Parker, Kevin (Jo) Parker, and Sarah Parker. She was a loving grandmother to Caitlin (Whitney) Kriengkrairut, Eric (Lisa) Grabijas, Josh (Erica) Grabijas, Ryan Grabijas, Sabrina (Trevor) Dieffenbach, Eve (Jeremy) Cole, Katie (Ben Patchin) Parker, Anthony (Mariah) Mullins, Chris Parker, Mia Braxton, Lindsay Herrmann (Mona Bujarsky), Katherine Herrmann (Josh Erlich). Mary Lee enjoyed and cherished her 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister Joyce (Jerry) Lewis with whom Mary Lee had a special relationship .
In addition to her husband, Mary Lee is preceded in death by her sister Jane White, her brother John Menefee, daughter-in-law Nancy Parker and grandson Davon Parker.
Mary Lee brought joy and warmth to all those around her. Her legacy will live on through the memories shared by her family and friends. May she rest in peace knowing she was deeply loved and will be missed.
