Lorraine Hunt

Lorraine Hunt, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, passed away on May 7, 2023 in Westland.  She was born on February 6, 1946 to her parents, the late George and Rebecca (née Wolfe) Hake, in Plymouth, Michigan.

Lorraine will always be remembered for her loving and caring personality.  She was loved deeply by those who knew her and will be greatly missed.  Lorraine’s children, Pollyanna Griffin, Heather (Patrick) Thibodeau, Sean (Amber) Hunt, and Erin (Todd) Marsh cherish the memories of their beloved mother.

Blessed with ten grandchildren, Cole Griffin, Peyton Thibodeau, Madelyn Marsh, Emilee Thibodeau, Brendan Marsh, Ammon Thibodeau, Caelan Marsh, Jameson Marsh, Lena Hunt and Samantha Hunt.  She cherished every moment spent with them.  They were the apple of her eye and she was their biggest supporter in all of their endeavors.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is survived by her twin brother, Lon (Shirley) Hake, as well as her niece Sarah (Jason) Curtman and nephew Wade Stevens.

Before retiring as custodian at the Plymouth-Canton Schools, Lorraine worked at Hudson’s/Macy’s.  Despite having retired from formal work life she remained active in pursuing her hobbies of sewing and gardening.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Thursday, May 11 from 2pm to 7pm. 

A Funeral Service will be held at Schrader-Howell at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 12, 2023.
