Linda A. Dubsky

April 21, 1949 — July 24, 2021

Linda A. Dubsky, age 72 of Brighton, Michigan, passed away on July 24, 2021.

Linda was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 21, 1949. She graduated in 1967 from Fairmont West High School in Kettering, Ohio. She is the devoted mother of three daughters – Lisa (Gary) Johnson, Julie (Bill) Price and Allison Finch; proud grandmother of Ashley Johnson, Clayton Price, and Mallorie Price. She also is survived by former husband of 35 years, Bob Dubsky, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Keith Gilmore and Bessee Lee (née Adams) Earhart.

Linda’s greatest joy in life was her family. She felt such happiness and pride for her children and grandchildren. She demonstrated an amazing love for each one of them. She was the center of their lives and will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends, and those whose lives have been touched by her.

During her school years, Linda enjoyed cheerleading and ballet. She spent her summers on her Gram's farm in College Corner, Ohio, helping Nanoo and Grandpa Sam with chores and catching groundhogs. She attended Ohio State University with dreams of becoming a high school gym teacher - where she met her former husband and father of her three daughters. She then became the most amazing mother and homemaker, her ultimate dream. She was a jack of all trades and worked hard to build a loving home for her family. She talked to everyone that crossed her path and making friends came so easily to her. She was like Cinderella: she made friends with frogs, birds (especially cardinals), and the wildlife around her. She loved fiercely and family was everything to her. Having fun and making people laugh was her #1 mission. Her laughter was indescribably one of a kind. She enjoyed gambling, golfing, concerts, traveling, family vacations, and going on cruises with her friends (who felt more like family to her). She enjoyed playing cards and games with her grandkids; but especially teaching them to play poker. Vegas was her favorite place to go; she was a gambling queen and very lucky at video poker! Some of her favorite things were: Coke (Coca-Cola), cigs (Marlboro Gold 100’s), candy (especially chocolate and 100 Grand Bars), Fireball (whiskey), mini cherry pies, and Long Island iced teas (from TGIF).

She loved supporting her grandchildren's events: school, sporting, and otherwise. She had such a special bond with each of her grandkids. They introduced her to things like K-pop music/concerts and Korean dramas, escape rooms, making TikToks and silly videos, watching Marvel movies, drinking Fireball, and even took a slight liking for University of Michigan sports (knowing she was an avid OSU fan). Linda cherished “chauffeuring” her grandkids around anytime she could, where many special conversations were shared and kept close to her heart.
