Lester "Les" Thomas Hagbloom, born on September 6, 1945, in Escanaba, Michigan, and raised in Marquette, Michigan passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, in Livonia, Michigan, at the age of 80.

Les was known for his unwavering dedication to his family, his warm heart, and his gentle spirit. His early years in Marquette laid the foundation for a lifetime of hard work and steadfast integrity. Over the decades, Les built a legacy rooted in kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength, values deeply cherished by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Fran Hagbloom, whose devotion and partnership were a source of great joy throughout their years together. Les's life was enriched by his loving children: Robert (Kimberly) Hagbloom, Renee (Kenneth) Dombrowski, James Hagbloom, and Carrie (Jeremy) Lempicki. His deep pride in their accomplishments and happiness was evident to all.

Les was also a cherished grandfather to Emma and Madeleine Dombrowski, Kyle Hagbloom, Lilah and Scarlett Lempicki. His grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy, and he delighted in sharing stories, laughter, and wisdom with each of them.

Family was everything to Les. He leaves behind his siblings, Angie Turgeon, Truman (Janet) Hagbloom, and Carol Beaudoin, who shared in his life's many moments-from childhood memories in Michigan, to enduring bonds that lasted a lifetime. Les served in National Guard and was called to duty during the Detroit Riots in 1967. Les retired after of 39 years with Ford Motor Co. He was an avid outdoorsman who found his greatest joy in nature. Whether he was boating on the open water, patiently fishing, or in the woods during hunting season, he was always in his element. He loved the thrill of an afternoon spent at the gun range, just as much as he cherished the quiet mornings on his porch watching the birds.

Throughout his life, Les demonstrated a quiet resilience and gentle humor. He approached each day with gratitude, always ready to lend a helping hand or an understanding ear. His steady presence and loving guidance will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

The memory of Lester "Les" Thomas Hagbloom will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy endures in the family he raised and the values he instilled-lessons of perseverance, generosity, and love. Though he is gone, the warmth and wisdom he shared remain a comforting light for his family and friends. The family invites all who loved Les to remember him fondly and keep his spirit close in their hearts.

Family and friends may visit St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 North Haggerty Road, Plymouth, Michigan on Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 9:00 A.M. until the start of the Memorial Mass at 10:00 A.M.
