Leslie Gomer Jones

Leslie Gomer Jones, age 102 passed away on January 17, 2026. He was born on October 8, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to his parents, the late Florence (née Mutrum) and John Jones.

He is the beloved and devoted husband of 65 years to Lillian Jones; loving father of two children – Penny (Dave) Lewis and Denise (Dave) Durkin; proud grandfather of Carrie (Rick) Durkin, Tracy Lewis, Shannon Durkin, and Kristi Brown; great-grandfather of Katie, Chelsea, Zachary, William, Owen and great-great-grandfather of Braden and Maverick.

Leslie retired from Burroughs/Unisys after a very successful 30 years of employment. He and Lillian then moved to Sarasota, Florida for the next 30 years. He returned to Michigan in 2014 to spend his last years with his family.

Leslie also proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.
