Leo Lesniewicz

Leo Lesniewicz, age 65, of Milford, Michigan passed away on June 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Leo was born on August 16, 1959 in Highland Park, Michigan to his late parents Leo Joseph and Marie Agnes (née Bresson) Lesniewicz. Leo’s beloved partner, Bonnye Briggs, unexpectedly preceded him in death on March 24, 2021, after they spent over 30 years devoted to each other. She was the love of his life and they enjoyed many adventures and traveling together.

Leo is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his sisters, Barbara Cole, Jennifer Bedrosian, Marie Kalaj and Renee (Paul) Major, special nieces Amy (Roger) Brewer and Lisa Cole and nephew Nick (Kate) Kalaj, and his special great-niece and “Birthday Buddy” Xaria Kalaj, who shared the same birthday Leo also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who were near and dear to him. He had many great-great nieces and great-great nephews as well. He was deeply loved by all of them. Leo was preceded in death by his brother, George Lesniewicz, his sister, Johanna Marshall, his brother-in-law,Gjelosh Kalaj, and his nephew, Gjoni Kalaj.

Leo enjoyed a successful career as a Computer Technician and Digital Projector Technician.

Leo had a great interest in pyrotechnics, also known as the science of fireworks. Perhaps it was the engineering and artistry that captured his interest and desire to learn more. Leo’s lifelong interest in computers and computer technology led him to his career as an Electronics Technician.

Above all else, Leo’s greatest joy in life was his timespent with family. Leo had a great love for all of his “fur friends” and he especially loved his cat, Bamboo, who gave him companionship, endless affection, and so much entertainment for almost 23 years.

Leo’s family remembers him as one of the kindest, gentlest, sweetest, and most generous people any of them have ever known.
