Larry Raymond Brandenburg

Larry Raymond Brandenburg, 83, of Northville, Michigan, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025.

Larry was born on November 22, 1941, in Topeka, Kansas.

Larry is survived by his wife of 62 years, Liz; his children, Kristy (Dave) Hecht and Jeff (Nicole) Brandenburg; his grand-children, Brad Hecht and Rachel (Paul) DaSilva.

Larry graduated with a BSEE from Kansas University and a MSEE from Wayne State.

During his career as an electrical engineer, Larry was instrumental in the development of alternative fuel sources for hybrid cars and holds several patents in this field of research. After retirement, Larry enjoyed golfing and woodworking. Larry was always up for the challenge of making whatever his family requested, especially for his grandchildren. With all of Larry’s accomplishments and achievements, it is his love for his family and the legacy he leaves through them he will most be remembered by.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held on June 6th at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 574 S. Sheldon Rd, Plymouth, Michigan. The service will be at 1:00 pm with a reception following at Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center, in Plymouth, Michigan in the Fox Classic-Log Cabin Venue.
