Larry E. Bigelow

Larry E. Bigelow, age 80, of Plymouth, Michigan, passed away on February 3, 2026.

He was born in Lewistown, Pennsylvania on March 13, 1945, to his parents, the late Betty and George Bigelow.

Larry was the beloved and devoted husband of sixty years to Wendy Bigelow; the loving father of five children: Richard Bigelow (spouse Vickie), Laura Korman, James Bigelow, Bethany Bigelow (spouse Jeremy), and Jennifer Farr (spouse Thomas). He was the proud grandfather of Richard Bigelow II (spouse Caroline), Leanne Domzalski (spouse Michael), James Korman (spouse Shirin), Robert Korman (spouse Carolina), Ryan Bigelow, Michael Whitney (spouse Katlyn), Ashley Farr, Trevor Farr (spouse Victoria), Austin Farr, and Carter Farr (spouse Lindsay), as well as numerous great‑grandchildren. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his sister, Becky Bush.

Larry built a lifelong career of over fifty years in the oil industry, retiring as Vice President of D & W Oil Company. He served as President of the Detroit Oil Men’s Club as well as Convention Chairman of the Michigan Petroleum Association. His work ethic, leadership, and dedication shaped not only his profession, but also the many people who worked alongside him. Above all, he was a family man who devoted himself to those he loved. In his personal life, he found joy in golfing, riding his Harley motorcycle, and tackling projects around the house — always staying active and engaged. He touched the lives of everyone around him, from friends to local neighbors, building genuine relationships and leaving smiles in his wake.

Friends may visit the Schrader‑Howell Funeral Home on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M., which will be led by the family.
