Karla S. Walkley

Karla S. Walkley, age 75 of Canton passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018.

Karla was born on November 17, 1943 in Wauseon, Ohio to her parents, Ansel and Isabell (nee Gilbert) Fellows. She is the beloved wife of Harry M. Walkley. They were married December 18, 1964 and would have celebrated 54 years of marriage this year.

She is the loving and devoted mother of Harry T. (Julie) Walkley and proud grandmother of Kali, Luke and Logan. Karla will be deeply loved by her siblings, David Fellows and Carol (John) Spycher).

Karla retired from teaching for Farmington Public Schools. She taught at Lanigan Elementary in Farmington Hills. Teaching is hard work and requires a lot of energy and commitment to do the job properly. She believed it was an honor to be in the role of a teacher and very much enjoyed her teaching career and making a difference in children’s lives.

Karla will be greatly missed by her family, her friends and all who know and love her.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Wednesday, October 24th from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. She will be in-state from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service beginning at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 25th at Ward Church, 40000 Six Mile Road, Northville. Burial will follow at Waldron Cemetery in Waldron, Michigan.
