Karen Lynn Blackney

Karen Lynn Blackney, age 70, passed away on February 19, 2023. She was born on February 20, 1952 in Dearborn, Michigan to her parents Wilfred and Lillie Blackney.

Karen was a loving sister to her twin Earl (Jan) Blackney, sister Kathy Blackney (Mary Lombard), and brother Brian (Debbie) Blackney. She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews; Jennifer (Al) Shahidi, Christopher Blackney, Matthew Blackney, Kelly (Jeff) Ozanich, Lisa (Tim) Brachulis, and Rachel Blackney; great-nieces and great-nephews Cody Shahidi, Chase and Mia Ozanich, and Colin Blackney. Karen was a friend to many, especially to her best friend Sarah Parker.

Karen worked at the Post Office as a Maintenance Supervisor. When she was not working, her passion was in photography and videography. She appreciated the artistic value that is in photography. Her hobby allowed her to express and bring out whatever beauty she wished to capture in front of her. It was the perfect way to capture and preserve those moments in life to be remembered forever.

Family and friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the funeral service beginning at 5:00 P.M.
