Kapila Mohanlal Shah, age 73 years, passed away peacefully on June 12th, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on March 25th, 1953, to Labhshankar Shivshankar Acharya and Madhuben Labhshankar Acharya, Kapila had an outstanding dedication towards family. Her perseverance, energy and caring heart helped upbringing of many family members.

Kapila was a strong-willed woman. She believed in doing the right thing.

Above all, Kapila was a perfect mother who sacrificed many of her priorities to help her family. Her devotion knew no limits, she gave of herself freely, lifting others through many hardshipswith quiet strength and unwavering resolve. Through long days and difficult seasons, she persevered with grace, never asking for recognition, only ever seeking the happiness and well-being of those she loved. Kapila was an outstanding cook, she has devoted undivided efforts towards preparing excellent Indian dishes. Her recipes were very famous and for life long they have been known and easily passed on to all of us.

Her boundless care nurtured generations, and the warmth of her love, her sacrifice, and her tireless dedication will remain a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to call her mother, grandmother, and friend.

She had a great taste in dressing up in traditional Indian clothes especially Silk Sarees with traditional Indian Jewelry.

Kapila recently celebrated her 73rd birthday in March 2026. Even though her life took an unexpected turn, she was so happy to spend her last days in the USA with her family and grand kidsSohum & Shivam

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Friday, June 19th, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m, followed by a cremation ceremony.
