Judith Ann Gates

Judith "Judy" Ann Gates, a cherished daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, at the age of 76. She was born on August 5, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Thomas and Flora Gates.

Judy found delight in pottery and clay making, expressing her artistic flair through her creations. She was also known for her daily walks, where she enjoyed the fresh air and the beauty of her surroundings. She also enjoyed shopping, and most importantly, she relished meeting new people, forming connections that left a lasting impact. Moreover, Meals on Wheels held a special place in her heart.

Judy is lovingly remembered by her sisters: Susan L. Gates, Gail Herman, Donna Martin, and Beve (Ron) Misiolek. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, who carry forward the warmth and kindness she shared throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Flora Gates.

Judith "Judy" Ann Gates leaves behind a legacy of creativity, compassion, and love. She will be deeply missed by her family and all whose lives she touched.
