Joyce Nadine Staffski

Joyce Nadine Staffski, daughter, sister, aunt, and great aunt passed away on December 27^th, 2023 at the age of 84.  She was born on August 30, 1939 in Detroit Michigan.  Joyce is survived by her niece Candace J. Schaff (David), great nephew Zachary D. Schaff, and nephew Douglas A. Nay.  She was preceded in death by her parents Eva and Michael Staffski, her sister Elizabeth M. Nay, and great nephew Jeffrey Nay.

Despite dealing with mental illness and a severe hearing disability, Joyce worked for most of her life at various companies as a secretary including the accounting firm of Ernst & Ernst.  Although quite independent, she enjoyed spending time with her small family.  She loved good meals as much as she did helping to prepare them.  Needless to say Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday.  She was known to never forget to send a family birthday card and include a small gift—whatever she could afford.

Joyce will be dearly missed by her small circle of family and friends.

A special thanks to her caregivers at Mission Point of Clawson, who were involved in Joyce’s care.

A private family gathering will take place followed by burial at Glen Eden Cemetery.
