Johnie V. Belcher-Tylka

Johnie V. Belcher-Tylka, age 90 of Plymouth, passed away on April 22, 2026. She was born on August 18, 1935.

Johnie is the beloved and devoted wife of the late James Edward Belcher and the late Francis Tylka; loving mother of five children – Sandra Groth, Darla (Kevin) LaForge, Glenda (David Bentley) Halstead, and stepdaughters Karen Hawraney and Diane Gravett; proud grandmother of Stephanie (Louis) Carney, Victoria Wheeler, Jessica (Kalin) Brehler, Jamie (Major Grover) Halstead, Chelsea (Bradley) Anthony, Cassea Bear, Drake LaForge, and Kristi Groth and great-grandmother of Alyssa, Ryan, Alissa, Tyler, Jacob, Emily, Lilly, Royal, Liam, Braylan, Skylar, Stefan and Isla and numerous nieces and nephews. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her sister Vi Olson

She is pre-deceased by her daughter Brenda Dingman and Lisa Bear; son’s in-law Larry Groth and James Dingman; and grandson Larry Groth, Jr.

Friends may gather at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Praise Community Church, 45000 North Territorial Road, Plymouth, Michigan on Saturday, May 9, 2026 with visitation beginning at 11:30 until the service starting at 12:00 P.M.  A luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the Celebration of Life Service.
