James E. Brown, age 85 of Westland, passed away peacefully at the Angela Hospice Care Center with his family surrounding him on June 27, 2019. Born in Hancock, Michigan on March 22, 1934 to parents Edward & Emiline Brown. Beloved husband of the late Nancy Brown . Survived by his companion of 17 years Gladys Powers. Loving father of Gary (Elicca) Brown and Phillip (Lori) Brown. Preceded in death by his son Edward Brown. Proud grandfather of Jennifer (Jeff) Schadt, Jessica Brown and Jamie Brown. Great grandfather of Cameron, Eva, Lily and Calvin.
James enjoyed fishing, golfing and traveling but above all else spending time with his family and friends was his greatest joy in life. James will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 4:30pm at the Newburg United Methodist Church 36500 Ann Arbor Trail, Livonia, 48150. Memorials mat be made to Angela Hospice 14100 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, MI 48154. Arrangements entrusted to the Schrader- Howell Funeral Home, Plymouth.
