Harvey “Bud” Gibson Greig, age 87 of Novi passed away on April 4, 2026. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 9, 1938 to his parents, the late Helene (née Kampman) and Harvey Gibson Greig, Sr.
Bud is the beloved and devoted husband of Judy Helen (née Kimball) Greig; loving father of Rhonda (Douglas) Troszak and Scot Greig (Travis Sterner).

Harvey is now reunited with his sisters who passed before him; Harlene Sokolowski (Sox); Sharon Lorenz (Jim)
Bud is survived by a host of beloved sisters/brother in law and nieces and nephews.
Bud grew up in Detroit. Attended Cooley High School & University of Michigan Dearborn. As a young man he played hockey and was active in the Boy Scouts achieving Eagle Scout status (alongside his best friend Mike Graybill). At 17 while ice skating he met Judy Kimball and began a 70 year long love story. High school sweethearts Judy & Bud married on September 17, 1960. He began working for AAA of Michigan & retired 45 years later as Tele-Communications Manager. Together, Bud and Judy developed an amazing & treasured group of friends, neighbors & co workers.
An avid fan of the Detroit Tigers, they attended many spring training games in Florida. The Detroit Red Wings & the Michigan Wolverines rounded out the sports year, Bud enjoyed attending games or watching them on TV while enjoying his Canadian Club.
He greatly enjoyed traveling to Northern Michigan with family, whether it be camping in the early years or visiting Rhonda & Doug in Harbor Springs.
Bud loved visiting Scot & Travis in Ann Arbor, dinners at Knights and visits to Bills Beer Garden. He adored puppysitting for Zoe, Luna & Belle.
Moving from Brighton to the Fox Run community brought together another great group of friends & neighbors. Bud enjoyed many activities along with Friday evening dances.
Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
A Funeral Service will be held at Schrader-Howell on Saturday, April 11, 2026 beginning at 12:00 P.M. Funeral services will be livestreamed please check the link below next to memorial video.
Those who wish to honor the memory of Harvey “Bud” Gibson Greig are invited to consider a contribution to The Salvation Army, 43600 Grand River Avenue, Novi, Michigan 48375. Contribution envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
