Harry James Hill, Jr.

Harry James Hill, Jr., age 72 of Canton, passed away on December 27, 2022.

He was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on August 27, 1950 to his parents, Harry and Mary (née Kossak) Hill.  He is the beloved and devoted husband of almost 48 years to Susan (née Kanclerz) Hill; loving father of five children – Jill Dillon, Jessica (Randy) Danison, Jaime Sue Hill (Bill Lenz) Harry “Joe” Hill and Richard Fret; proud grandfather of Hannah Dillon, Jacob Dillon, Ryan Powell, Averi Hill, Sydney Fret, Devyn Hill, Delaney Danison, Summer Hill, Ainsley Danison, Spencer Fret, Aidan Dillon, Connor Hill, Austin Hill, Dean Hill, Oliver Lenz and great-grandfather of Xavier Powell. Harry was preceded in death by his father, mother and four of his siblings, Gary, Danny, Terry and Karen. He is greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his 8 remaining siblings as well as his large and loving extended family. 

There was nothing Harry loved more than his family. He was the first person to jump in and help whenever anything needed doing. He drove carpool, attended every event possible and was the primary caregiver for Sue as she battled cancer last year. He always had a smile, a hug or a dad joke....sometimes all at once..... for everyone he met. He and Sue loved traveling, especially to visit their out of state kids/grandkids. He was also a devoted U of M Wolverines football fan and will no doubt be cheering for them this Saturday in the Fiesta Bowl. Go Blue!

Family and friends may come pay their respects at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the 7:00 P.M. Memorial Service.
