Gretchen E. Madick

Gretchen E. Madick, age 76 of Pinckney, passed away on March 25, 2024.

She was born on October 21, 1947 to her parents, the late Estelle (née Lilliquist) and Frederick Yates.  She is the loving and devoted mother of Mark (Amanda) Madick, Todd Madick and Christopher (fiancée Jennifer Fletcher) Madick.  She is pre-deceased by her son Brian Madick.

Gretchen had many interests.  She loved writing, enjoyed sewing, and gardening.  From each of these interests, Gretchen felt a sense of achievement and feeling of success.  Writing provided communication or point of view to a particular audience.  Sewing was an opportunity to create unique items and work with different colors and fabrics to produce something beautiful.   Gardening gave Gretchen joy in connecting with nature and it’s annual experience of watching plants grow and flourish.  These activities all produced something worthwhile and positive in Gretchen’s life that was fulfilling for her in her interactions with family and friends.   Also, she was a proud member of the Red Hat Society – a membership society that encourages women to get the most out of life with fun, friendship, freedom, fitness and the fulfillment of lifelong dreams.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 12:00 P.M.   

Gretchen will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
