Greg F. Wlosinski

Greg F. Wlosinski, beloved husband, family member, and friend, passed away on August 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, passion, and quiet strength. Born on September 30, 1961, Greg's journey through life touched many, each interaction shaped by his warmth and dedication to the people and interests he held dear.

Greg is survived by his devoted wife, Vilija Idzelis-Wlosinski, whose partnership and companionship defined much of the joy in his life. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother, Gary Wlosinski, sister, Camille Krawczyk, niece Michelle (Antonio) Barile,  as well as great niece, Ella and great nephew, Theo Barile, nephew Erik Krawcyk,  nephew Ryan Priebe and aunt and uncle in-law, Nijole and Algirdas Pleckaitis and sister-in-law, Rima and Scott Brandes, great-nephew Gintas and great-nieces Skaiste and Austeja Brandes. Through both the moments of laughter shared and challenges faced, Greg's presence shaped their lives in innumerable ways. Greg’s best friend/ fur-ever dog, Ringo, will miss him as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He follows in passing his brother-in-law, James Krawczyk, his father, Walter Wlosinski, and his mother, Delphine Wlosinski, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Zivile and Claude Priebe, mother-in-law and father-in-law Jurgis and Elvyra Idzelis and several Idzelis family relatives who all preceded him in death. The cherished memories of loved ones gone before, together with the bonds he leaves behind, are testament to the enduring connections that shaped Greg's world.

Greg’s life was rich with passion for music, particularly the timeless artistry of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and Peter Gabriel. This love of music colored his days, providing both inspiration and solace, and connecting him to a broad tapestry of friends and experiences. Sports also held a special place in Greg's  heart. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Lions, Detroit Red Wings, and Detroit Tigers, immersing himself in the energy of the game and the camaraderie of fandom. Greg and his cherished group of lifelong friends had a decades-long tradition of attending Grand Prix races and the Indianapolis 500 – trips filled with countless memories and laughter. An avid skier, Greg found exhilaration and peace gliding down snowy mountainsides—a reflection of his spirit of adventure and appreciation for life’s pleasures. Other hobbies included international travel, camping and enjoying nature in the Upper Peninsula with his wife, Vilija, and photography.

Greg was especially proud to serve as a board member of the Ann Arbor Ski Club, where his enthusiasm for skiing and his welcoming spirit encouraged others to share in the joy of the sport. Through these endeavors, he fostered a sense of community and belonging, creating lasting connections defined by mutual respect and shared enjoyment. It was through shared membership of the Ann Arbor Ski Club that he met his wife, Vilija, and they were married at Camp Dainava in Manchester, Michigan on September 10, 2011.

Greg was very diligent regarding his education and career. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Nutrition and worked as an Associate Supervisor of Food Service Management for the University of Michigan Health System. He was beloved by his colleagues and known for his dedication to his work, compassion towards others, and sense of humor.

Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate Greg’s life at a series of services. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St, Plymouth, MI 48170, on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm. On Saturday, August 15, 2026, visitation will continue at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 N. Territorial, Plymouth, MI 48170, from 10:30 am until 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow there at 11:00 am. Graveside service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 1:30pm with a luncheon to follow.

Greg F. Wlosinski will be deeply missed by all who were privileged to know him. His legacy endures in the memories of his family, the harmony of favorite songs, the camaraderie of sporting moments, and the exhilaration of winter’s slopes.
