Geraldine A. Barlage

Geraldine A. Barlage of Plymouth Michigan died on April 19, 2018 at the age of 73. She was born in Detroit on August 19, 1944, to the late Agnes and Rolla Caskie. Her father, Rolla, died in service to his country at Normandy Beach, France. Geraldine was predeceased by her parents, grandmother Bridget Conery, sister Verlaine, and her brother Thomas. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Edward F. Barlage Jr, her brother Bill Martin, her children, their spouses, and grandchildren: Catherine B. (David) Allen, Edward F. Barlage III (Jeannie), and Alisa J. Barlage (Brandon). Her loving grandchildren are Leif Allen, Eddie Barlage IV, Grace Barlage and Caitlyn Barlage.

Geraldine overcame an early diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis to raise a family and have a career as a librarian. She especially cherished the time spent traveling with her husband, enjoying her grandchildren, and serving the community at the Plymouth District Library. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
A visitation and memorial service will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. The visitation will be held Sunday, April 22, from 1 to 9 pm. The memorial service will take place Monday April 23, 2018 at 11 am.
