George Hensley

George Hensley Jr., born on January 10, 1952, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication. He devoted over thirty years to Dunn Rite Land Service, where his exceptional talent and keen eye for flowers were apparent to all who knew him. George's passion for his work was matched only by his deep commitment to those he cherished.

Described as one of the kindest souls, George was a steadfast source of support for his loved ones, always ready to lend a helping hand, especially in their darkest moments. His devotion extended not only to family but also to the creatures that shared the world with him. George was a true friend to animals.

In addition to his talents as a gardener, George was an avid horse racer and breeder, demonstrating both his hard work and dedication in all aspects of his life. He took great pride in caring for his parents, George and Ann Hensley, during their declining health, providing support without ever once complaining. His efforts were a testament to the love he held for his family.

A beloved uncle and granduncle, George shared his passion for gardening with his relatives. He delighted them with the bounty of his garden, particularly his renowned Pink Girl tomatoes, which were greatly appreciated by anyone lucky enough to taste them.

George leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Vicki Williams; his grandniece, Hannah (Nick) Holzman; as well as several aunts and uncles out of state. George is reunited in death with his parents, George and Ann Hensley, and his brother David. His passing marks a profound loss for all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire kindness and compassion in those he touched throughout his life
