George Edward Elliott was born in Detroit on November 6, 1944. He died on February 14, 2023, in Whitmore Lake, Michigan. He graduated from Detroit Catholic Central High School in 1962 and then served with the Detroit Police Department. In a heroic effort on February 24, 1967, he administered CPR to save the life of an infant who had stopped breathing. After retiring from a long career with the Detroit Police Department, he and his wife, Sandy, moved to Port Austin, Michigan.
