Gary William Brown

Gary William Brown 51, of Westland passed away at Garden City Hospital on April 12, 2021 after a brief illness. Gary was born on September 22, 1969 to James and Nancy (née McCollum) Brown and was a lifelong resident of Michigan (GO TIGERS).

Gary leaves behind his wife Elicca, step-mother Gladys Powers, brother Phil (Lori) Brown as well as nieces Jennifer, Jessica and Jaime and great-nieces and nephews Cameron, Eva, Lily, Calvin and Prudence. Gary was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother Ed.

As a fierce competitor, Gary loved playing cards as well as belonging to bowling and pool leagues. Gary’s passion for baseball is evident by his enormous baseball card collection. Gary’s gentle demeanor and kind heart made his quick-witted, soft-spoken sarcasm just another thing to love about him.
A memorial gathering will take place on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan from 5:00 P.M. until the Memorial Service starting at 6:00 P.M. The Reverend Lynn Snider will officiate the service.

For those who cannot attend and wish to view the Funeral Service in a safe environment, the funeral will be live streamed.

Please be advised that in observance of the Governmental Order from the State of Michigan and the current COVID-19 situation, when in attendance at the visitation and funeral service, we kindly ask for the safety and well-being of the families we serve, and for your health, that everyone practice social distancing and consideration for other guests in attendance. Masks are mandatory. Please refrain from handshaking and embracing family members and one another.
