Eugene “Bud” Borieo, age 83 of Brownstown Township, Michigan passed away on February 28, 2026. Bud was born in Farmington, Michigan on November 27, 1942 to his parents, the late Gertrude (née Czapiewski) and Eugene A. Borieo.

He is the beloved and devoted husband of Judith (née Dondzila) Borieo. They were married in 1967. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his siblings, Rose Wilson and Eugenia (Don) Brown; brother-in-law, Joe Dondzila, Ron (Kathryn) Dondzila and his sister-in-law Laurie (the late Ralph) Robinson. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews. Eugene is pre-deceased by his brother, Albert James Borieo and his brother-in-law, Walter L. Dondizila.

Bud retired from Ford Motor Company after 39 years of service. During his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking. He was creative and like to design his own projects. Every finished project gave him a strong sense of pride and accomplishment. He also enjoyed getting together with family and friends to go bowling. It was fun and yet a challenge too, but he especially loved the time spent with others enjoying a fun time. Eugene was an active member of the Knights of Columbus-Clement Kern Council #8284 as well as the United Auto Workers - Local #182.

Bud also proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, 10:30 A.M. at St. Thomas a’Becket Catholic Church, 555 South Lilley Road, Canton, Michigan.
