Ernestine Roberts

Ernestine Roberts passed away on January 8^th, 2024 at 90 years old. She was born in Hamtramck, Michigan to her parents John and Constance (Klaska) Briolat. She grew up in Harbor Beach, Michigan where she met the love of her life, Lavern Roberts, whom she was married to for over 70 years. Together they made a home and raised their children in Plymouth, Michigan for more than 60 years. 

Ernestine is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lavern. She leaves behind her daughter Lisa (Thomas) Karsnick and is preceded in death by her son Jeffrey August Roberts. She had the joy of being a devoted grandparent to Kaylie (Andrew) Siwicki, Skyla Karsnick, and Kara Roberts. She is survived by her sister Beverly Goralski and is preceded in death by her cherished siblings: Frank Briolat, Clarence Briolat, Annie Lane, Elmer Briolat, Al Briolat, and Bernadine Cockin. Ernestine’s extended family, including her nieces and nephews, also mourn her loss. 

Ernestine was a homemaker who dedicated her life to raising and supporting her children and grandchildren. She loved shopping, gardening, playing cards, hosting friends, laughing, and having fun, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She did what she could to show her family how much they were loved and supported; she will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to helping those she cared about the most. 

A Memorial Gathering honoring the life of Ernestine Roberts will take place at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Plymouth, Michigan on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 9:00 A.M., followed by Mass at 10 A.M. at the same location. 

A luncheon at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church will follow Mass. Burial will occur at Riverside Cemetery at 1:30 P.M., located in Plymouth, Michigan.
