Erin Olivia Haslem

Erin Olivia Haslem, born on October 9, 1998, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away on August 21, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan. Erin’s life was a gift to all who knew her, and her presence will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

Erin was the cherished daughter of Jeffrey Haslem and Julie (McCabe) Haslem; granddaughter of Edmond and Cynthia Haslem and Patricia McCabe (and the late John McCabe). She shared a deep bond with her entire family, including her loving brothers, Brett and Jack Haslem, who will always treasure their memories of growing up together. Erin’s extended family, which includes her aunts Kimberly McCabe-Ponke, Laura McCabe, and Lori Stubbe, as well as her uncles Daniel McCabe, Steven Haslem and Gregg Ponke, feel the profound loss of her loving nature and vibrant spirit. Erin’s cousins, Megan, Lauren, Sarah, Devin, and Christopher, also mourn her passing and hold close the special moments they shared.  She is pre-deceased by her grandfather, John McCabe and Uncle Vernon Stubbe.

Erin attended grade school at Our Lady of Good Counsel and then went on to Father Gabriel Richard High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After her graduation from high school, she was delighted to become a “Sparty” at Michigan State University and earned her Bachelor’s Degree. Her education continued at the University of Toledo where she earned her Master’s Degree. Erin went on to successfully pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination to become a PA-C.

Erin’s warmth, kindness, and compassion touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know her. She brought joy, laughter, and inspiration to countless gatherings, whether with family or friends. Her capacity for empathy and her supportive, encouraging spirit left an enduring impact on those around her.

As her loved ones reflect on Erin’s all-too-brief life, they remember her not only for her accomplishments and milestones, but also for her gentle nature and unwavering kindness. Though her time with us was far too short, Erin’s memory will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.

Family and friends are invited to honor Erin’s life during visitation at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St, Plymouth, Michigan, 48170, on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Additional visitation will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 N. Territorial, Plymouth, Michigan, 48170, on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The funeral Mass will follow, beginning at 11:00 AM.

Erin Olivia Haslem will be forever remembered for the love and light she brought into the world. Her legacy endures in the hearts of those who had the honor of sharing in her journey.
