Eric C. Johnson

Eric C. Johnson, age 77 of Canton, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

Eric was born on May 21, 1949 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to his parents, the late Louise (née Birnbaum) and Delbert Johnson.

Eric is the beloved and devoted husband of 54 years to Jackie (née Tasker); beloved father to Paul (Carolyn) and deceased son Matthew (widow Shireen Stanesa and husband Joel) and proud grandfather of Leanne Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Emma Johnson and Noah Johnson. He is survived by his brother Robert Johnson and sister Linda Johnson. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, his in-laws, and dear friends.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed many hobbies but his greatest passion was boating and fishing; whether it be on the Great Lakes, small ponds or rivers. Sharing this passion with family and friends was his greatest joy.

While his hobbies brought him much happiness, nothing in life meant more to him than his family. He adored his wife, Jackie. He cherished being a devoted husband, parent and proud grandparent. Eric’s happiest moments were those spent with his children and grandchildren, creating memories they will treasure forever. His legacy of love for each of them will continue to live on through them.

Friends may gather at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
