Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Dyas of Canton Michigan passed away in her sleep on Saturday, December 10, 2022. Betty was born on March 13, 1944, the only daughter to the late William, and Catherine Waltrip in Louisville, Ky.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Paul 77, daughter Christen, son David, son-in-law Steve, daughter-in-law Kim, along with her four grandchildren, Nathan, Bradley, Graham, and Maisy.
In addition to being a devoted wife of the man she loved dearly, loving mother of her two children, and an absolute devoted Granny to all of her grandchildren, she worked for the City of Westland for 15 years. Even in her career, she cared for others more than for herself. She traveled the globe to many places and always seemed to make friends wherever she went. Her thoughtfulness for others and her ability to have people open up to her were some of her amazing characteristics.
She was an avid reader devouring every book she could come across. Her favorite author was Stephen King. She dearly loved her dog “Dudley” and she loved to work in her garden.
Betty Ann Dyas was the kind of person that worried and concerned herself over others before herself.
She will be missed, and she was, and will continue to be so dearly loved.
