Dorothy Josefa Krause

Dorothy Josefa Krause, age 96 of Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away on February 6, 2026.

She was born on March 6, 1929 in Sandusky, Michigan to her parents, the late Kathryn (née Sitek) and John Mika.

Dorothy is the beloved and devoted wife of the late Herman Krause, Jr. who passed away in 2000. She is the loving mother of four children – Douglas Krause, Debbie (Greg) Wetsig and Darryl (Denise) Krause; proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her eldest son, Dennis Krause.

She had an amazing life! Dorothy courageously met every day challenges with a kind heart and a wonderful sense of humor. Dorothy was a gracious and generous lady. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. If you were to ever visit Dorothy at her home you were always greeted with open arms and assured one of the best meals you could ever have. She had impeccable taste and a glamorous style, priding herself in paving the way for future generations. Dorothy was employed by General Motors and enjoyed a very successful career with them until her retirement.

We will miss her smile, sense of humor and above all her never-quit attitude, but know she is at peace.

Friends may visit at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6805 Mast Road, Dexter, Michigan on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. until the start of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M.

Dorothy will be laid to rest next to her husband Herman, at United Memorial Gardens in Plymouth, Michigan.
