Doris Gove

March 22, 1947 — April 8, 2020

Doris Ann Gove went home to the Lord on a beautiful spring day on April 8, 2020. She was 73 years old. Doris was born on March 22, 1947 in Malta, to the late Carmel and Hannah Gove. She is survived by her siblings, Joe Gove, Helen (Bill) Chenevert, and Tommy (Veronica) Gove, nieces and nephews, Claudia (Ruben) Rodriguez, Philip (Angela) Gove, Susie Chenevert-Cousins (Chris Cousins), Julie Chenevert-Brandt (Chris Brandt), Matthew Gove, Hannah Gove, and extended family Jessica Wolfe-Rodriguez, Jillian Lukas-Rodriguez, Ella and Olivia Cousins, Lily and Camden Brandt.

Doris’s family moved to the United States in 1950 and resided in Detroit, MI with her bothers Joe and Tommy and sister Helen. Doris dedicated her life to loving the Lord and spending time with family and friends. She loved attending family gatherings where she surrounded herself by loved ones. Doris was very talented at sketching flowers, butterflies, and angels. Doris loved to collect angels as they reminded her of her mother Anna Gove. Doris was an animal lover to dogs and cats and also loved spending her time cooking, gardening, and playing Bingo. She enjoyed collecting pictures and reminiscing on the memories made in them with family members. Doris enjoyed listening to and sharing silly jokes, she was a loving presence and always knew how to make anyone laugh.
