Donna Sue Oury

Donna Sue Oury, of Plymouth, passed away May 8, 2019. She was 89 years old. Donna Sue was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Nelson and Edmona (nee Byrum) Nye. She was the beloved wife of George who passed October 1997. Donna Sue was also the devoted mother of the late Richard (Barbara) Oury, James (Maureen) Oury, George “Skip” Oury, and John Oury, proud grandmother of Jennifer (John) Morgan, Janice (Johnny) James, Jill Oury, Matthew Oury, and Susan (Michael) Timmerman, loving great-grandmother to Richard (Paige Pressley), Karly, Joseph, Jacob, Caitlyn, Molly, and Madelyn, and the dear great-great-grandmother of Tanner and Greyson.

Donna Sue was a sweet hearted woman who was kind to everyone she met. She helped anyone in need whenever she could. Donna Sue truly lived the meaning of “love your neighbor”. She loved to paint, garden, collect seashells and she especially loved birds. More than anything in life, Donna Sue enjoyed spending time with her family. She is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Mass will be Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 44800 Warren Road, Canton, MI 48187. Family and friends may begin visiting the church at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Michigan Humane Society.
