Donald Glen Lohrmann

Donald Glen Lohrmann, age 61 of Canton, passed away on June 24, 2025. He was born on February 26, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan to his parents, the late Charlotte (née Duey) and Carl Lohrmann. Donald’s journey through life was marked by his sense of humor, dedication to those he loved and his love for the Lord. Donald was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church where he served for many years on various boards.

He is the beloved and devoted husband of 34 years to Rebecca (née Yonker) Lohrmann; loving father of two children – Donald (fiancée Jess Miller) Lohrmann II and Joseph (Kayla) Lohrmann. He was so excited to welcome his first grandchild later this year. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his siblings Eugene (Bridgid) Lohrmann, Mark (Kathy) Lohrmann, Michael (Kelly) Lohrmann and Christopher (Kim) Lohrmann. He is pre-deceased by his brother, the late Eric Lohrmann. He also was blessed with a close relationship with his “brother and sister in-laws” – Kathy and Don Potthast, Cindy and Jim Slocum, and Bill Yonker – to Donald there were no in-laws (or “out-laws”); we were all just family. Donald is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Donald had a very successful career with 30 years of service with DTE Energy, a major energy company headquartered in Detroit, Michigan.

Donald was very active with Plymouth Canton Little League. He started as a coach for his two sons. He served on the board for PCLL for nearly 20 years in many different roles - President, Vice President, Chief Umpire and other roles as needed. He loved meeting members of the community.
