Donald Alan Clemens

Donald Alan Clemens, age 91 of Northville passed away on April 12, 2026. He was born on November 14, 1934 in Dearborn, Michigan to his parents, the late Ruth (née Kidder) and Clarence M. Clemens.

Donald is the beloved and devoted husband of 66 years to Jeanne (née Whitebread) Clemens; loving father of five children – Steve (Cindy) Clemens, Alan (Michelle) Clemens, Brian (Vicki) Clemens and Neil (Marcee) Clemens; proud grandfather of seven grandchildren – Amanda (Cain) Miller, Lauren Clemens, Kylee Clemens, Mitchell (Jessica) Clemens, Jacob (Angel) Clemens and Nicholas Clemens and great-grandfather of Jasmine Clemens, Joshua Clemens and Alexander. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his brother David (Sue) Clemens.

He is preceded in death by his son, Dale Clemens and his grandson, Ian Clemens.

Don proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1955-1957. He was stationed in Germany and served as an Artillery Surveyor. Don worked as a Land Surveyor at Harold Hammel Civil Engineer and at Land Surveyors in Plymouth and later, working as a Survey Chief for the City of Southfield from where he retired in 1999.

Through the years, a few of Don’s hobbies have included fishing, hunting, golfing, gardening, exercising and building Native American flutes in his spare time. Additionally, Don and Jeanne loved to travel and they travelled many times driving cross-country with their camper.

Family and friends may gather on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the Memorial Service beginning at 5:00 P.M.
