Cheryl Lyn Witting

Cheryl Lyn (Bolander) Witting, 71, passed into the arms of the loving Lord on the evening of Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Ascension Hospital, Macomb campus. Cheryl was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to all. 

Cheryl was born in Plymouth, Michigan to Mary and Quentin Bolander. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1969, where she made so many wonderful friends. Cheryl worked many years for Farmer Jack and in retail. Her greatest source of joy was her family and friends. She so loved spending time with her people whether it was enjoying her delicious spaghetti with her family, watching movies with her son, visiting at her sisters’, chatting with her niece in Las Vegas, traveling to scrapbook with loving friends, shopping for great deals with her bestie, or enjoying Christmas lights on lakeshore drives with her husband. Cheryl did not want to miss any moments being with people she loved; even when it was so difficult, she put on her red lips and persevered. 

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Bill; son, Alex; step-daughter, Kerry (Witting) Vlahantones (PJ); granddaughters Gianna and Georgia Vlahantones; sister, Renee Eley (Geoff); brother in law, Phil Shipley; five nieces; and three great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her sister Sandy (Bolander) Shipley.
