Candace Michelle Siegrist

In keeping with her love of nature and life's simple beauty, Candace passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026, shortly after the passing of the full moon, bringing to a close a life defined by kindness, resilience, and unconditional love.

Some of Candace's happiest moments were spent surrounded by the people she loved. Every summer, camping was a cherished tradition. She treasured having her family together, sitting around the campfire, sharing stories, and laughing late into the evening. And if there was water nearby, chances were Candace was already in it.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures, taking nature walks, spending time outdoors, and gardening alongside her husband. She loved watching their garden grow and creating something special from its harvest. From homemade spices to fresh salsa, she took pride in sharing her creations with family and friends, always finding happiness in giving to others.

Candace was a woman of remarkable strength, resilience, compassion, and unconditional love. Kind, nurturing, and fiercely determined, she faced life's challenges with courage and grace. When difficult times arose, she never gave up. She fought through adversity and stood steadfast for the people she loved. Her strength was a reflection of the deep devotion she had for her family.

Family was the center of Candace's world. She took immense pride in her children and never missed an opportunity to share their accomplishments with family, friends, and even complete strangers. Few things brought her greater joy than celebrating the amazing adults they had become and expressing how proud she was of each of them.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Candace's life on Friday, September 2nd, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Plymouth-Ann Arbor Elks Lodge #325. Memories and stories will be shared beginning at 5:00 p.m., with dinner to follow.

In honor of Candace's free spirit and love of being uniquely herself, we encourage everyone to wear their favorite 80s or 90s rock band T-shirt. Candace was never one to follow convention. She lived life on her own terms, danced to the beat of her own drum, and embraced every moment with authenticity, laughter, and love. We can think of no better way to celebrate her life than by gathering together in the same spirit.
