Bernard R. Fabiszak

Bernie Fabiszak passed away at 93 on October 17, 2024. He is survived by Eleanor, his beloved wife of 64 years, son David, daughter Cathy, and son-in-law Bastiaan. 

Born in Brooklyn, New York into a large Polish family, Bernie joined the US Marine Corps at age 17. He was a veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and during his military career, he headed the Security Guard at the U.S. embassies in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

After a full retirement as a U.S.M.C. Master Sergeant, the Fabiszaks relocated to Columbia, Maryland where they lived for over 50 years. Bernie worked for the Department of Labor and Department of Energy as a Systems Analyst and Program Manager before working in the private sector for the remainder of his career.

A talented handyman, mechanic, and creative inventor, Bernie could fix and improve just about anything. 

A Memorial Service and burial of his cremated remains in Arlington National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
