Barbara Ann Carson, age 72 of Plymouth passed away on May 17, 2026. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to her parents, the late Dorothy (née McGrath) and Paul Plante.
She is the beloved and devoted wife of three years to Gregory Gardner and the late Mark Carson; loving mother of Lee Carson. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her siblings, Carolyn Gola, Steven (Mari) Plante, Thomas (Judy) Plante, Joanne (Scott) Plante, Glen Plante, Sharon (Chris) Arnold and Kathleen (Jay) Rushing. She also left behind a step-son Doug (Katelyn) Gardner and their children (Klaire, Bella and Ruby).
Barb’s faith shines Christ’s spirit, Christian formulated life, and loving the words of God. Barb had smiles and grace regardless of the health struggles she faced. She always had a smile for you and an ear to listen. Her strength was unparalleled to anyone. Barb was a true partner to share and grow strong bonds together.
She had not completed her art drawing degree at U of M before moving to Arkansas. She and Mark built four homes and she ran a successful community screen print business using her design creativity. Moving to Michigan, Barb ‘adopted’ Greg’s three granddaughters as her own, she nurtured their individual character and provided love.
Service arrangements at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church are not finalized at this time. She will be forever loved and remembered for her kindness, being genuine, down to earth and devotion to her family and remain in the hearts of all those whose life was touched by her.
Those who wish to honor the memory of Barbara Ann Carson are invited to consider a contribution to Karmanos Cancer Center at the Detroit Medical Center.
