Andrea Marie Grant, age 50 of Plymouth passed away on January 19, 2023.
She was born in Livonia, Michigan on December 7, 1972 to her parents, Andrew P. and Mary A. (née Sobczak) Crichton. She is the beloved and devoted mother of three children – Tyler, Mackenzie and Hannah Grant. Andrea is loved and will be greatly missed by her brother Michael Crichton and sister Cathie Opatrny.
Andrea was an amazing mom, and was the definition of dedication and love. She loved, cared for, guided, consoled, pushed, and rooted for her girls every single day. She was so full of pride as Mackenzie passed her boards and when Hannah became the leader and captain of her volleyball team. Both of Andrea’s girls love their mom with everything they have and always will.
Everyone who knew Andrea described her as amazing, and her list of accomplishments show it. Whether it was being selected as homecoming queen, earning a softball scholarship, being a director of a ‘Fortune 100’ company, or getting a new company up and off the ground - Andrea was a rockstar. She was one of a kind that could juggle two laptops, three phones, a volleyball schedule, family functions, and workout regimen all while making time to keep in touch with all she loved and supported.
As a business owner, Andrea was an amazing innovator and completely dedicated to her team. Even as she faced the toughest personal and professional challenges, her first priority was always the well-being of her people. So many people looked up to Andrea and worked hard to mentor and help bring other people with her as she elevated to a whole new level.
Andrea will be best known for loving her children, her family, and friends and how she filled her home with warmth and kindness. She always put others before herself and provided comfort and solace to them and to anyone in need while asking for nothing in return. Her family appreciates anyone who may wish to send notes with memories or photos of their times with her describing how she positively touched their life.
Andrea’s life was too short. To say that her family and friends will miss her greatly is an understatement, but to those who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her time on this earth and the imprint she left on their hearts greatly exceed the quantity of time that she had with us. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend to many. Her beautiful, kind spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
We wish her celebration of life to be full of vibrancy and joy because that is how she lived her life.
