Alice May Hathaway

Alice was the loving wife of Dale Hathaway for 63 years and devoted mother to Sandra, Lynne, Carol, Paul, and son-in-law Harry. She was a wonderful grandmother to Ryan, Evan, Emma, Claire, and Sarah. She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Rose Newman and her brother Paul.

She cared for many family pets, past and present. She was an excellent tennis player, avid reader, loved to do crossword puzzles, and loved to travel. She was a regular contributor to the Humane Society of Huron Valley and loved all animals. She was an angel on Earth and is now an angel in heaven.

The family has decided to have a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations in Alice’s name to the Humane Society of Huron Valley or to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) to commemorate her dedication to helping her granddaughter Sarah living with Type 1 Diabetes.
