Adam Schaefer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Adam Jordan Schaefer, born on November 16, 1983, in Defiance, Ohio. Adam passed away on February 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Adam is survived by his loving parents, Gary and Susan Schaefer, and his siblings Blaine McDowell, Brent Schaefer, and Jordan Schaefer. Adam shared a deep bond with his girlfriend Brittany Jordan, who supported and enriched his life in countless ways.

His memory will be forever cherished by his nephews Evan, Landon, and Nolan McDowell, Aadin Arellano, Maddox Rivas, Elliott Schaefer, and nieces Alyssa, Mia, and Madelina Rivas, Grace McDowell, Cora, Clara, and Eliza Schaefer. Adam's faithful canine companion, Hank, also mourns the loss of his cherished friend and companion.

Alongside his immediate family, Adam is survived by his brother-in-law, Chris McDowell, husband of Blaine, and sisters-in-law, Maribel Schaefer, wife of Brent, and Katie Schaefer, wife of Jordan. The strong connections between Adam and his extended family added warmth and richness to his life.

Adam grew up in the vibrant community of Canton, Michigan, where he attended Salem High School, forging lasting friendships and making his mark on the community. He pursued higher education at Central Michigan University, earning a degree in Marketing/Business in 2005. Adam's dedication and hard work led him to a successful career at ASH Brokerage, where he excelled and was promoted to the position of Regional Vice President in 2014.

Adam was a man of simple pleasures and genuine passions. He found joy in watching movies and sports and, of course, enjoyed cheeseburgers. Most importantly, he was extremely compassionate and generous, always trying to elevate the lives of those around him. Whether it was through his acts of kindness or his unwavering support, Adam touched the hearts of many.

To honor Adam's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to support initiatives to feed the homeless. Adam had a compassionate heart and believed in making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
