Rosa Umile

Passed away at her home on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the age of 94. Rosa was born in Santa Ninfa, Sicily on June 8, 1920, the daughter of Guiseppe and Antonina ( nee Biondo ) Mangogna. She resided in Sicily till her marriage to Carmelo Umile in 1957 whereupon the couple relocated to the Plymouth area where other family members had immigrated to. For over twenty years, Rosa worked for the janitorial staff of the Plymouth-Canton public schools, the majority of her time at West Middle School. In her spare time she enjoyed many varied activities including sewing, cooking and canning, shopping but most of all being with her family. Rosa loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her husband Carmelo passed away in 2012 and she is survived by her daughter, Lucia M. Morrison, grandchildren Andrea Morrison and Matthew ( Aubrei ) Morrison and great grandchildren Elliot Rose Deane and Cora Nicole Morrison. She is also survived by her all her sister-in-laws Catherina Umile, Angela LoPiano, Pina Curraili and Anna Umile. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 pm until 9 pm with a Scripture Service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 10 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road,Plymouth.
