Robert M. Reckinger

Robert M Reckinger passed away February 4, 2013 at the age of 64. He was born October 2, 1948 in Detroit to Walter and Therese(Paradis)Reckinger Jr. Robert is the beloved husband of Bonnie. Dearest father of William R. and Robert M. Reckinger. Dear brother of Pete(Mary Margaret)Reckinger, Sue(Tony)Petricca, Joe Reckinger, Mary Beth Weaver, Phillip Reckinger and Denise Reckinger. Dear brother-in-law of Dennis(Jean)Barhorst, Patti(Danny)Watson, Ronald Barhorst, Marianne Beems and Cheryl(Samuel)Kirby. Robert is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Robert attended Sacred Heart High School in Dearborn and was a resident of Plymouth Canton since 1979. He was the owner of Reckinger Heating and Cooling West and at one time owned Plymouth Yard and Hobbies in Plymouth. He was a 100% disabled veteran having served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Robert loved model trains and cars but especially loved spending time with his sons. A service will take place Thursday, February 7, 2013, 11:30AM at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth. Father Thomas Belczak of St. Kenneth Catholic Church, Plymouth will officiate. Friends may visit beginning at 10AM Thursday. Robert will then be buried with Military Honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan, Thursday 2PM.
